A stellar line-up of international and local designers will take to the runway at Fashion Expo Arabia at The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from October 26-28, 2009.Sheikha Shamma Bint Zayed Al Nahyan is the official patron of Fashion Expo Arabia, which is the Middle East’s first comprehensive fashion industry event.
Runway shows from top international designers such as Sakina M’Sa (Paris), Carta E Costura (Milan) and Kyri (London) will add a touch of glamour to the trade exhibition, which will display more than 500 mid- to high-end brands from Europe and the Middle East.
Top UAE-based designers such as HSY Hassan Sheheryar Yasin, Sohad Acouri and Rabia Z will also send their latest collections down the catwalk during the three-day exhibition.
Renowned Pakistani designer Rizwan Beyg and Manish Malhotra, designer to many Bollywood stars, will also be presenting their collections at the event.
ADACH is also supporting the exhibition’s “Emerging Emirati Talent” showcase of up-and-coming Emirati fashion designers. Two runway shows will take place during the exhibition to highlight the pool of local talent that exists in the United Arab
Emirates, and to give these emerging fashion stars a platform to display their work. With hundreds of international and regional buyers confirmed to attend the three-day exhibition at ADNEC, this is the perfect opportunity for these aspiring designers to reach out to a global market.
In a further move designed to assist buyers, WGSN, the world’s leading fashion and style forecaster, will present forthcoming trends and tangible advice in a series of free to attend seminars exclusively at Fashion Arabia.
